The following article details the steps for enabling cookies in your web browser.
Please note that the course layout, steps, and screenshots shown below may differ slightly for your campus.
Cookies must be enabled for your web browser in order for Brightspace to function properly. The following directions will illustrate how to adjust these settings for supported web browsers.
Google Chrome
- Click the Customize and Control Google Chrome button in the top right corner of the browser, and then click Settings.

- Find and select Privacy and security, and then select Third-party cookies.

- Select the option to Allow third-party cookies.

- To ensure changes are saved, refresh any tabs that were previously open in Chrome. It may be also be necessary for you to close and then reopen your Chrome browser.

Mozilla Firefox
- Click the Open Application Menu button in the top right corner of the browser, and then click Settings.

- Find and select Privacy and security, and then select Standard.

- To ensure changes are saved, refresh any tabs that were previously open in Firefox. It may be also be necessary for you to close and then reopen your your Firefox browser.

Safari
- With Safari open, find and click on Safari in the upper left corner of the screen within the menu bar, and then click on Settings.
- Find and click on the Advanced tab. You may also access the needed settings by selecting the Privacy tab, and then clicking on Advanced Settings.
- Find the "Block all cookies" option. If the option is checked, click on the box to uncheck that option.
- To ensure changes are saved, refresh any tabs that were previously open in Safari. It may be also be necessary for you to close and then reopen your Safari browser.

Microsoft Edge
- Click the Settings and more button in the top right corner of the browser, and then click Settings.

- Find and click on Privacy, search, and services, and then click on Cookies.

- Find the "Block third-party cookies" setting. If it is enabled (the button is showing on the right side of the bar), click on the button on the right to disable the setting.

- To ensure changes are saved, refresh any tabs that were previously open in Edge. It may be also be necessary for you to close and then reopen your Edge browser.
