Previewing a Student in the Grade Book


The following article details the steps for previewing an individual student's view in the Grade Book.

Instructors can use the preview function for individual students in the Grade Book, allowing the instructor to see exactly what an individual student sees when that student accesses their Grades. This can be useful for troubleshooting issues within the Grade Book, such as ensuring students see the correct items and values based on the instructor's settings.
 

Previewing a Student in the Grade Book

  1. Navigate to the Grade Book within your course. You can often find the link to the Grade Book within the NavBar of your course, or through Course Admin.
     
  2. Scroll up or down as necessary to find the student that you wish to preview in the list of students.
     
  3. Click on the chevron to the right of the student's name, and then click Preview.

  4. The window that pops up is the student's view of the Grade Book. Review the displayed information as necessary, and click Close when finished.
